Five Things About Me

Today’s post is going to be a little different. I mean you’re on my page, so why not get to know me a little right? Every Friday there will be five new fun things to know about me. I hope you can relate or feel motivated to post your own below in the comments section.

  1. I am originally from Georgia. I was Southern born and Southern bred in the good ole South. I moved to Colorado in my early twenties with my first husband and from there moved on my own to Washington State. I was in Washington State for five years and it is by far my happiest place despite the gloom and doom of the weather. I moved back to Colorado in October to be with my boyfriend.
My Wonderful Boyfriend and I in Seattle, my favorite city.

2. I write stand up comedy routines. I have been way too chicken to make my debut on stage, but I have been writing about the comedy of errors that is my life for a while. It is something I do to help me re-frame the drama in my head into something that I can laugh at. Who knows, I may post a couple of them on here or a couple of the stories that led me to write one of my routines.

3. I go to metal concerts instead of going to therapy. I did therapy for so long after my divorce and it got to the point where I was sick of talking and ready to start doing life again. Metal music has always been near and dear to my heart, so once I was free to live my life outside of control, I started going to shows again. Some of my favorites I’ve seen live are: The Used, Brand of Sacrifice, We Came as Romans, Beartooth, and Spiritbox. Occasionally, I will share my experiences here when I do go as an effort to make America Metal.

The first time I saw Brand of Sacrifice and got to meet Kyle. He is seriously a nice human being and I will forever be a fan.

4. I am dedicated to my love of horror movies. Horror movies and horror related TV shows are some of my favorites to sit down and watch at the end of the day. Scream, although it is not scary horror, is one of my favorite franchises. I even have a large Ghostface on my thigh to start my horror leg sleeve. I also have a horror themed guest bedroom in the works right now, once I get it finished up I will definitely be sharing it.

5. Road Trips are my favorite way to clear my head. I don’t even have to have a destination, I just fill up my vehicle and drive. One time I drove around Eastern and Southern Washington with no real destination in mind. I got to see a lot of cool things that I normally wouldn’t have stopped to see had I given myself a destination. Sometimes it’s the journey and not the destination.
